I haven't posted anything in the last month. However, that doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything hobby-related! :)
Last week, I played Talisman (Fifth Edition). I've actually played quite a few games of the 4th Edition, but I've never owned a copy myself. Recently, I got the opportunity to buy a brand-new copy of the latest edition at a hefty discount (almost 50%), so I decided to go for it.
It's a classic game, maybe a bit outdated by modern standards, but still a lot of fun (especially with more players). The game looks really nice, and I like most of the changes introduced in the 5th Edition. It's faster and a bit less punishing (but you have multiple optional rules that you can introduce to make the game harder, which is a nice touch). I played against a friend: I chose the Priest, while he played the Troll, and it turned out to be a surprisingly close game!
In the end, we were both racing to see who would defeat the Dragon first. Ultimately, the Priest prevailed!
